Monday blahs…
April 30, 2007 by Senorita Dorkita
Last night around 11:45 or so, the kidlet wandered into my room and woke me up complaining that he had a headache and his ear hurt. I promptly got out of bed, went to the medicine cabinet and got out the ibuprofen and ear drops from the last ear infection and doctored him up. He went back to bed and so did I. When he woke up this am, he said his ear still hurt a little so we did the drops and the ibuprofen again. I have to call the doctor to see if she wants to see him.
I had to go to court this am as a witness for a DUI case. I drove there and parked in the parking lot and was fine until the guy who I was a witness against pulled into the parking lot. Then, I felt like I was going to puke. I can’t imagine how it would feel to be a witness in a big case if I felt like that for a simple DUI case. Anyway, a lawyer from the DA’s office took me into a room, asked me some questions and had me sit back in the lobby. After about 20 minutes, she came back to me and told me that the case was done and that I could go and that I wouldn’t need to be called back. I am assuming the defendant plead guilty. I am just glad it’s over. It was nerve-wracking.
Now I am at work and have zero motivation to work on this huge data project sitting in front of me. It’s so nice out and I don’t want to be here, I want to be outside and anywhere but here.
Oh, good news though, summer hours start in 3 weeks…that’s something to look forward to! I <3 summer hours!
Heather, I love you, thanks for being such a wonderful friend! I am so glad to have you in my life, you have no idea.
