I got news tonight that sucks. Two of my uncles are not doing well. My Uncle Jimmy just found out that his cancer that was in remission is back and the prognosis is not good. I am sad, I love my Uncle Jimmy. My Uncle Ponzo had surgery on his gall bladder the other day and during surgery, they nicked something and it caused internal bleeding and he’s in intensive care…not sure how that is going to turn out. I love my Uncle Ponzo too, so this makes me sad as well.
I would appreciate an extra prayer, good thoughts and positive vibes for my uncles…

The kidlet’s new cell phone arrived today and it’s equipped with “Chaperone”. This is the information on the Verizon site regarding “Chaperone”.

It’s pretty nifty that I can chaperone the kidlet, well, the kidlet’s phone I guess 
I still feel like crap. However, the prospect of vacation only being a little over two weeks away perks me up a bit.
The kidlet mentioned he’d like to go fishing (ick!) while we are on vacation. So, being the good mother/father I am, I told him we would (double ick!). I just went online to check how much an NJ fishing license is and holy crap, it’s not cheap. I am just going to get a 2 day vacation license, it’s cheaper. My dad is buying the kidlet a new fishing rod and gear for the trip. I am bringing rubber gloves. I don’t like worms or fish and I am not touching either. Yes, I am a tard, so what? At least I am taking the boy fishing
We are also planning to rent a canoe to take out on the lake there. This oughta be interesting. Hopefully we won’t flip it. I doubt we will, I have mad canoeing skillz. Word. Actually, I haven’t been canoeing since I was about 8, but I had mad skillz then and I am pretty sure I haven’t lost them. If I have, my digital camera is screwed because I plan to take it in the canoe to capture the memories. Hopefully the memories won’t include us trying not to drown.
I can’t wait to make s’mores over the fire. Last summer when we went camping, it was the hottest effing week of the summer and was way too hot to be building a fire. So, I improvised and cooked the marshmallows over the gas stove in the air-conditioned camper. This year, come hell or high water, I am making s’mores over a damn wood fire. It’s way more fun that way.
I really need this day to be over soon.
