Butterfly

Remember the signs I mentioned. Here’s another story.
Today, when I picked up the kidlet from my parents’ house, he had this ziploc bag with this butterfly in it. He was helping my mom do something outside and they found it. He wanted to keep it, so my mom put it in the ziploc bag.
When we got home, he told me that he decided he didn’t really want the butterfly. I suggested he bring it to the drop-in visitation at school and ask his teacher if she would like it for the classroom, if she was there. The teachers aren’t required to be there on this night, but his teacher just happened to be there.
As we stood in the classroom, he still had the bag in his hand. I asked him if he wanted to give it to his teacher and he was a little shy about it, so he asked me if I would do it for him. So, I turned toward the teacher to ask her if she wanted it and her eyes lit up. She LOVES butterflies! She was happy to have it :) And, she went to the back of the room and brought up this really cool framed artwork that her husband had made for her. It was individual photographs of butterfly wings that had patterns on them that looked like letters of the alphabet. It spelled out her name. The kidlet thought the picture was really cool…so did I
As we got in the car he looked at me and said “Mom, I think I found that butterfly just for Mrs. S and I didn’t even know it!”. See, signs. I am telling you, they are signs.
Now, if I could only figure out what all these signs mean…

very lovely story. ; )
