Holla.
I managed to make it through my day without flinging the coffee filter full of nasty, wet day-old grounds all over anything. Ooooh, and I didn’t shoot any dry coffee out of the container either. And, no, I didn’t burn myself while stirring >I knew you were wondering<
The morning was pleasant. The kidlet woke up in a chipper mood, which is always a plus. He got ready quickly, which is a rarity. And we left the house early. Crazy.
I spent quality time with the copier today. Did I mention I hate tax season? I do. I will try not to mention it again, but I am warning you, I might have a senior moment and forget and say it anyway.
I was talking to Jacks earlier today about tanning and we got on the subject of the whole going in the tanning bed naked. I go in naked. I don’t want lines. Not like I am going to wear any kind of bathing suit that might show lines if I had them, mind you. I just don’t want lines. We talked about areas that might burn. Unless you are an outside naked tanner, your boobs and hoo hoo area might get a little burnt. That is not pleasant. If you are pale, like I am, you need to start in small increments so you don’t burn your boobs or hoo hoo and it’s all good. Nobody wants to be walking around itching where you’ve been burnt, right?
Later, I told Heather about this conversation and we giggled about it. We are so immature sometimes…ok, most times, but we don’t care. We know how to act like grownups when we are supposed to…most of the time. Ha. We were talking while she was pulling into a parking space at the mall and she asked one of her kids if the door was going to open up and get scratched by a bush. I started calling the bush a boosh and we got on a roll about that. She needs prunes.
Props go out to Sandy for texting me earlier today to check on my burnt thumb from yesterday’s coffee- stirring incident. Thanks
I am so tired…I should be in bed…resting. But, I have a load of laundry I need to put in the dryer and I just now remembered it…see, senior moment.
Good Night Chicago!

I am just curious is all.
I had three coffee-related work incidents this morning. First, I was taking the old filter with yesterday’s grounds in it out of the coffee maker. I take the whole thingie the filter is in to the trashcan to dump it. Well, today, somehow, I managed to fling the filter with the icky grounds out of the thingie it’s in and the grounds went all over the floor, wall, door, and side of the trashcan. Neato. What a mess.
After I get that all cleaned up, I washed my hands, and got a new filter and put it into the thingie. I got the new coffee can, well, it’s not really a can now, it’s a plastic jar thing, and took off the lid. There’s that little foil seal thing on there, you know, with the tab that you pull up on and peel off? Well, somehow, while pulling up and peeling I squeezed the plastic jar and shot coffee out of that little opening I had started with the pulling and the peeling motion and it went EVERYWHERE! FOR THE LOVE OF PETE! It was up my lefthand sleeve, all over the counter, all over the floor, all over some literature that is on the counter top in the kitchen. After some choice words, I finished making my coffee and cleaned up the mess.
I just knew it wasn’t going to end there, I knew there would be a third coffee-related incident. I was right. As soon as the coffee was done brewing, I went to get a cup. I put in my sweetener and creamer and pour the coffee into my cup. I grab a stirrer and start stirring it around and end up tilting my cup a little and spilling coffee all over my thumb, it was flipping hot! Ugh.
What’s the dealio?
Where I have been hiding? Ok, well, maybe not. I am going to tell you anyway.
Oy, where to start. So, like a week ago, I tried to blog, but WP was being a butt, and I couldn’t sign in and blog.
So, let me recap for ya.
Hockey game, attacked by large smelly purple kitty with hot pink silly string, three day weekend, soccer game, snotty nose which turned into a hospital visit and day and a half stay, snow storm, Blue & Gold banquet, movie date night with the kidlet, furniture rearranging and I think that sums up most of it.
The kidlet was in the hospital due to a wicked asthma attack. He’s much better now, back to his persnickety self
That’s how I know he’s feeling better, when he gets persnickety. When he’s illin’, he’s a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge mama’s boy. When he’s feeling better, well, he’s not. I am just glad he’s feeling better and so very thankful to the super staff we dealt with at the hospital.
My brain needs a rest.
