Yes, I realize it’s Tuesday. I am a day late in updating from my weekend, forgive me. I just happen to be Busy McBizerson at work because of a vacationing (BASTARD!) co-worker. But whatev…
So, Friday night Heather came over for a girls’ night in. Our lame asses got into jammies and grabbed blankets and parked our cabooses on the couches to watch a chick flick. Well, not right away. I made dinner first. Then we did the other stuff. We were gonna bead, but being in jammies, parked on the couches up under some blankets watching a chick flick kinda won out over the beading thing
We snapped a photo of our beautious selves, please don’t hate on us because we are so stunning at home in our jammies on girls’ night in, mmmmkay?

Hey, we work hard and we deserve a lazy night in!
Saturday morning was pretty much the same as Friday night! Heather stayed over and it was like a slumber party! We slept on the couches and woke up and just lazed around watching movies some more. I made some breakfast too. It wasn’t 5 star, but it worked
After Heather left to get ready for her date with McHotterson, the kidlet and I mostly lazed around the rest of the day. He had a cough and was getting kind of tight so we skipped soccer practice so he wasn’t too sick to go to the Eagles game on Sunday.
We went to the game and froze our buns, toes, fingers, ears…ok, our whole bodies, off! OMG was it cold! I totally wore my reindeer antlers:

I could’ve dealt with it had it just been cold, but noooooooo, it also had to be sleeting! Then, it turned to rain and that just sucked a goat’s ass! Our toes were numb and our noses were bright red. The kidlet hung in as long as he could and finally gave in to the coldness. We left about 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter. We thawed ourselves out in the car and then left for home. We listened to the rest of the game on the way home and were bummed that they lost
When we got home we had some errands to run and then we put up our Christmas tree. The kidlet was chomping at the bit to get it set up and decorated. I would go without a tree if it were up to me LOL.
Yesterday it was back to work (GROAN!) and back to reality. I was busier than a one legged man in an ass-kicking contest. Filling in for OG is crazy! I’d better get me a damned good bonus! I was informed I am getting a raise in January, so that’s good
Last night my indoor boys won their game 6-3 and the kidlet had two goals. He was on fire last night and really played well. They all did! I just saw a little more out of the kidlet last night than I have seen in a while.
We came home and I chatted with Heather online until my daggone internet went out…stoopid 45 mile an hour winds! I also got an email from an old friend via myspace and we sent a bunch of emails back and forth…again until the freaking wind kicked up and knocked out the internet.
I guess that’s pretty much it in a nutshell. Now I should go and finish my work I suppose.
Ciao!
Friday night I got talked into going to the local high school football game. It was a big game and our boys did awesome. They won. WHOO HOO! It was a good time spent with great friends.
Saturday morning, the kidlet had a game and it was a good one. Unfortunately, we lost 4-3. We would’ve tied them had the penalty kick that the kidlet took counted. However, he kicked it and missed and followed it up and kicked it in. But, because the goalie didn’t touch it, the goal didn’t count. Crap. Oh well. Our boys played well. They have come so far this season. It’s a young team with a good mix of experienced and new players. Considering that, they have done very well. We have one more game that will count toward playoffs…our chances of going to playoffs is very good. Not too shabby for two girls coaching them
Saturday night, we caught the home opener of the Reading Royals hockey team. I swear every time I go to watch them play they lose. I am bad luck LOL! I did get to meet one of my myspace friends, which was way cool. He is a good guy
He and his family were sitting one section away from the kidlet and me. At one point, I looked back and could see him and I waved, but he was too into the game LOL.
Today, they played again and won 2-1. The kidlet had a goal (yay!) and a nice assist when he passed it to his center and the center scored. We played this team before and beat them. They played even better today than they did yesterday. They played more like a team and looked amazing out on the field. No bunching up, nice passing, great defense. Our second half goalie is amazing. He watches the ball and is always aware of where it is on the field. He knows where his teammates are and makes sure to kick the ball down the most advantageous side. He’s great out on the field too, but he’s such a great goalie. We made sure to tell him that today after the game. It’s hard, because they ALL want to play offense and try to score goals. They aren’t that far along to know that each position is very, very important and that scoring is the result of the whole team playing together. I guess I understand it, because everyone wants to be the one who scores, but unfortunately, not everyone can be on offense. As coaches, you have to take advantage of the strengths of each child and use that to the team’s advantage. We’ve done that this year and have been successful for the most part.
Maria and I will be coaching the indoor team we’ve put together and that starts in two weeks. We have picked the top four kids from each of the three U9 boys teams and we’ve got some very good, talented kids. It should be an interesting season for them. I am really looking forward to it. It’s a fast-paced game that will only improve the skills of the players.
I have one thing left on my “to do” list today and then I can park my butt on the couch (or up under the covers) in my bed to watch the Eagles/Cowboys game. I am hoping the birds get it together enough tonight to beat the Cowboys. I won’t live it down if they don’t! I’ve been talking a lot of smack the last couple of days to some of my friends, some of the kids on our team and some of their parents
*fingers crossed*
Ok, I gotta go get my “chores” done so I can chill and watch the big game.
Whew! What a weekend this girl had! Friday night was chill, I stayed home because it was raining and I knew that my weekend was gonna be busy. So, I parked my butt on the couch and watched some TV. It rained all night so I pretty much figured that Saturday’s game was gonna be postponed.
I woke up around 6:30 on Saturday morning and it was still raining. I was just waiting for the call from Maria that the game was postponed. She called around 8:00ish to tell me that it was. We chatted a bit about the rest of our day, because she and her son were joining the kidlet and I at the Eagles Kids Club Halloween party. We decided to roll outta town around 11:30. She picked us up and we headed to Philly. The ride down was hilarious. Her son, Isaiah (Zaya) is a nutball. I swear he’s gonna be a female impersonator when he grows up. OY!
We got to the Linc and it was still drizzling, but all the festivities were inside, so it was good to go. It cleared up after we were there for about an hour or so and it was beautiful out. We had so much fun on the tour of the locker room. This year, they let us right up to each player’s locker and we got pictures of us in a couple of them. I got to see and touch Westbrook’s shoes! WOO! The kidlet and Zaya were dying they were so happy they could stand right in their favorite players’ locker areas! LOL! We went back out and around the field and the kidlet and Maria stole some grass off the field. I was cracking up laughing. We also checked out where exactly we will be sitting when we go to the game in December. WOO!
We ended our time at the Linc with a trip through the “haunted house” tent. Dear God. I was fine up until Maria thought it would be funny to duck down and grab my leg. That’s when I screamed bloody murder and nearly peed myself. Of course the kidlet, Zaya and Maria made ME walk in the front and guide us through. Buttheads. We headed home and were driving along, windows down, jamming to a Spanish music cd Maria had. I cocked my hat sideways all ghetto style and was car dancing like a mutha. It was hilarious. The boys were in the back dancing too. It was a great car ride home…we made friends on 76 and the fo two two. HA!
We arrived home and Zaya had a soccer game, so we watched that and then headed to the local bowlarama to bowl. I haven’t bowled in forever and I sucked major butt in the first game. By the second, I had my groove on and was bowling like a pro…ok, not really but I was at least picking up spares.
Sunday we went to Maria’s to watch the Iggles game on her HUGE tv. She and I sat on the couch like the die-hards we are and her hubby and the boys went outside. Butts. What kind of Iggles fans are they? Whatever. Maria and I were loud and obnoxious and having a freaking blast. She cooked some baked ziti and it was AWESOME. After the game, we took a walk out in the back of her place. She has 89 acres and we wandered through a couple trails and then came back to her house. The kidlet and I headed home then because I had laundry to do and I was beat. My ass was in bed and sleeping by 8:30 (lame-o!)
Now I am at work and need to finish my lunch and get some crap done…bah! I hate Mondays!
