So, the kidlet used the rest of his Christmas gift cards to purchase “Guitar Hero III” for his PS2. We went Friday evening to pick it up at the local Walmart.
On our way there, my phone rang and it was his friend asking him to come over to play for a while…which left me time to play GH3 uninterrupted! WOO! Ok, stop laughing at my lame ass for using my Friday night free time to play GH3, like you wouldn’t do the same.
So, I played, for three hours straight, until I realized I should probably stop and go pick up my child…but for three hours, I was rocking out and having so much fun. I totally pretended I was a rock star. I got really good on Poison’s “Talk Dirty To Me”, which is one of my favorite 80s songs for reasons which I will not go into right now hee hee.
Anyway, I went and picked up the kidlet and he came home and wanted to play his new game…which I already had been playing…for three hours…alone…
He played a couple songs and then let me show him my incredible pretend guitar talents. He was amazed…flabbergasted, even. He looked at me wide-eyed and said, “Mom, you rock!”. Yeah, I do.
I wowed him with the Poison song and again with Pat Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, to which I sang along as well…you might want to know that I totally kill with this one at karaoke…for real…I get requests…and he was even more stunned at my incredible talents…I swear he wanted my autograph.
Finally, we went to bed.
Saturday we played some more…so much that we were both freaking rocking out big time. We both pretty much mastered TDTM (Talk Dirty To Me).
Later on that day, we were in the grocery store line and I am not really sure how it came up, but the kidlet says he can’t wait to get home and play GH3 and “Talk To Me Dirty”. I lost it. So did the cashier. So did the kidlet after I told him it was “Talk Dirty To Me”…ahhhhhhhh haaaaaa haaaaaaaaa! Maybe you had to be there, but it was flipping hilarious.
Good times…good times. I love my child, he makes me laugh so hard sometimes, I should wear depends.
That Britney Spears lost custody of her damned kids. As if we didn’t see that coming *rolls eyes*. Stupid people shouldn’t breed.
I also need to mention that people who can’t sing without the aid of technology to sound good should not sing and get paid for that crap.
Random factoid, me and Heather are gonna take it outside later. LMAO! We are tards.

There’s so much more depth. So it’s hump day and I am glad. The weekend is approaching and the kidlet is having friends over to spend the night. Yes, I said friends. Plural. Three of them to be exact. Heaven help me. My house isn’t large, this oughta be interesting.
Tonight is back to school night for the kidlet. I can’t wait to go and sit in the little chair at the little desk and hear what his teacher has to say. He came home last night with some tests he took on Friday and I was so proud of his grades. He’s doing well so far.
He also came home with a paper for music lessons. Strings to be exact. He is interested in playing the violin…my dad told him he would take care of paying for it, but only if he promised to stick with it and practice hard. The kidlet agreed…looks like my boy is gonna be playing the violin. Hey, at least it’s not the drums! I am glad he’s taking an interest in it. In fact, I am very excited he is taking an interest in the violin, I happen to love the violin and might get to learn a few things from him, yay!
I just glanced out my office window and it’s absolutely gorgeous outside. It’s cool, the sky is clear and blue and the sun is shining. A huge change from the torrential downpours yesterday, thank goodness!
