and, if there were blog police, I would totally be arrested for lack of bloggage.  But, here I is.  I am back.

So, what have I been up to that has kept me away.  Oh, let’s see…my child is playing on two soccer teams this season.  That’s soccer six days a week.  He is also training with a premier team.  It’s been crazy.  Trying to balance it all has nearly driven me right over the cliff.

Oh, and I got a job!  Woooooooooo!  Having the summer off was nice, but I am so very glad to be back to work.  I am working for a promotional products company and I love it.

That’s generally it, work, soccer, soccer and more soccer.

Today was a particularly awesome soccer day.  My U10 boys beat the second place team in our division!  Holla!  It was a flipping sweet victory, let me tell you.  I wanted this win bad.  It was an incredible game and our goalie had some pretty damn amazing saves.

That’s all for now.  It’s time for me to rustle up some grub for me and the Kidlet and finish watching my Iggles whoop Amber’s Seachickens :)   <3 you A!

That’s right, today I get to see my boyfriend.  I can’t tell you how excited I am.  I don’t care that it’s almost as hot as the fires of hell outside today.  I don’t care that I will have to sit on an uncomfortable seat in said hotness.  I will get to see David Freaking Beckham play soccer today.  Oh, and so will the kidlet, lol.  I can’t wait for him to watch a profession match.  Minus the drama that can sometimes happen on the field to draw fouls and cards, I want him to see how triangular passing works in the game so he can use that when he’s playing.

I hope our seats are decent enough that I can get some good pictures.  I promise to post some :)

In other news, my balsamic chicken the other day was a hit with the kidlet.  He liked it so much he wanted to know if I could make more sometime.  He also informed me that I should cook with the crockpot more often, lol!  I am going to do the lemon chicken chicken tomorrow, however, instead of garlic, I am going to use dill.  I love lemon and dill together.  I will let you know how it goes :)

I got my new phone.  At first, I wasn’t sure how I was gonna like it.  I was so used to my old phone.  My old phone was just a phone…not a smartphone.  I was carrying around my phone and my PDA and I wanted one device.  Now I’ve got that.  I figured out how to delete the nerdy ringtones that came pre-programmed on the phone and add mp3 ringtones.  Thank goodness.  I have all my old ringtones that I had set up on the old phone.  Each person has their own ringtone and I love that.  When I set up the software on my computer, I added a photo to each person’s contact page and then after hotsyncing, the picture comes up when that person calls.  WOO!  Not only do I know who’s calling by the tone, but I see their lovely mug as well :)    I love how the text messaging stays in a chat window form so that I can follow the conversation.  Tres cool.  Ooooh, and it’s GREEN!  It’s called Azure Green and I likey.  Ok, but probably the best part about it is now I have a QWERTY keyboard.  Can I just mention how much better texting is with that?  Seriously.  I liked texting before, I FREAKING LOVE TEXTING NOW!  So, if you are getting more texts from me now, that’s why, ha ha ha.  It’s just easier and faster with that handy dandy little keyboard.  Yeah, I am a nerd, so?   Oh, and I pretty much don’t care if TMP, who has an iPhone, thinks that the Treo is “ewwww”.  Kiss my butt, I like it.  I am not one of those that has to have the best of everything.  I don’t care that I am not driving a brand new car.  I don’t care that I don’t have an iPhone or an iPod.  The “latest and greatest” material things don’t define me.  I personally like the fact that people like me for me and not what I drive or own.  Materialistic, “look at me I have the >insert overpriced gadget/vehicle/whatever here< I am so much better than you” people make me ill.  Woo, sorry for that mini rant, lmao, it had to be said.

The kidlet and I went to see “The Dark Knight” last night.  It was really good.  I couldn’t help but feel a little sad when Heath Ledger first appeared on the screen.  He did an amazing job in the film.  It’s a bummer that he won’t get to see the finished product and possibly an award for his work.  :(

Ok, I am off.  I need to finish up some laundry and stuff before the kidlet and I have to meet the bus for the game…yes, we are going charter people, woo!  I will update later if I am not too tired when we get home.

Peace.

So, I mentioned the crockpot mac & cheese that I was attempting yesterday.  It.was.good.  Better than good, it was flippin’ awesomely delish!  Now, there are three things I would tweak on it.  First, I would use the whole wheat pasta, second I would use whole milk instead of the 2% I used and three, I would use 2 cups of sharp (I literally just typed shart, ew) cheddar and 2 cups of extra sharp.  Oh, and instead of crocking it for a short time at a high temp, I would crock it at a lower temp for longer.  Mine looked like a pile of mush, but it tasted good!

I was excited to make this, and a little skeptical when I saw it first start bubbling…I thought it was going to be gross and I would have to throw it out.  It wasn’t and I didn’t.  The kidlet RAVED over it.  He raved even more at lunch today when we had the leftovers…it was even better today than yesterday.  Honestly.

It’s so hilarious that I never thought to use my crockpot to actually “cook” in.  I have used it for pork & sauerkraut, ham & cabbage, and italian sausage and peppers in spaghetti sauce.  Seriously, I never dreamed of doing more with it than that.  But, I am getting all adventurous now and today I did some balsamic chicken.  I found a recipe online and tweaked it.  It made my house smell AMAZING!  I put it in too late for dinner today, so tomorrow, we will have it for lunch and I will do something else in the crock.  Somebody stop me, I am becoming a crockpot cooking crazyass!  WOO!

I surfed the internet a lot today looking for recipes to try.  I found so many, I may never use my oven again!  I am serious!  Hell, take it, I never use it anyway, ha ha ha ha!

I found this one that I will try on Sunday maybe.  It’s lemon garlic chicken.  You take the whole chicken, slice lemons and put them all over the chicken and inside the cavity.  Then, you put garlic cloves in the cavity as well and crock it.  Sounds good, doesn’t it?  My mouth is watering.

Let’s stop talking about food, I am making myself hungry.

I ordered a new cell phone today.  I had a coupon for $50 off of a new phone.  I have been wanting to upgrade to a smartphone.  See, I have a PDA and I have a cell phone…it’s a pain in the ass carrying the two of them.  So, I wanted the combo.  So, I called my provider and told them I wanted the discount price offered on the website, plus the $50 off for the coupon and I didn’t want to pay the activation fee or any shipping charges.  I got what I wanted and paid $20 less than I wanted too!  WOO!  People, I haggled and I got what I wanted.  So, my phone is on it’s way.  It should be here on Thursday.  I am rather excited.  For those of you I text, I will be able to do it at lightning speed now…my new handy dandy smartphone has a QWERTY keyboard.  And, as soon as I get used to it, I am gonna be a texting fool.

OMG, the best news ever…only FOUR MORE DAYS until I get to see my boyfriend David Beckham.  I am seriously sitting here grinning ear to ear like a giddy little school girl!  I have already researched the Meadowlands website to see if I can bring a camera in.  I can!  SWEET JESUS I might get real live pictures of Beckham!  I hope we are close enough to see him and he doesn’t look ant-sized!

If you are flipping through your tv channels Saturday evening and you come across the Red Bulls/Galaxy game…look for me.  I will be the crazy ass woman running across the pitch trying to smooch my boyfriend.  I promise to blog all about it from jail then…do they have the internetz in the pen?

heh.
